Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing and using AstroDeck ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, please do not use the Service. The Service is operated by App Comin and these Terms apply uniformly across all AstroDeck platforms — the website (getastrodeck.com), the Android phone / Wear OS / Android TV / Android Auto / OEM Automotive apps, and the iOS, iPadOS, and Apple Watch (watchOS) apps.

2. Description of Service

AstroDeck provides real-time space weather data, aurora forecasts, satellite tracking, astronomical event reminders, and educational content (encyclopedia, star charts). The Service aggregates publicly available data from scientific organizations including NOAA, NASA, and CelesTrak, plus weather data from third-party providers (OpenWeatherMap on Android / Web, Apple WeatherKit on iOS).

Core functionality is free on every platform. AstroDeck PRO is optional and unlocks premium features (advanced widgets and watch complications, aurora alerts, the Aurora data centre, themes, star-chart customisation and more). On iOS / iPadOS, PRO is offered as an auto-renewable subscription (monthly or yearly) or as a one-time lifetime purchase. On Android, PRO also removes ads.

3. Data Accuracy

While we strive to display accurate and up-to-date information, AstroDeck relies on third-party data sources. We make no warranties regarding the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of the data displayed. Specifically:

• >Aurora forecasts are predictions and actual visibility may vary
• >Satellite positions are calculated from orbital elements and may have slight deviations
• >Space weather indices are provided by NOAA and may experience delays
• >ISS pass predictions are approximate and depend on your location accuracy

4. Use Restrictions

You agree not to:

• >Use automated tools to scrape or overload the Service
• >Attempt to interfere with or disrupt the Service's infrastructure
• >Redistribute data obtained from the Service for commercial purposes without permission
• >Use the Service for any unlawful purpose

5. Purchases, Subscriptions & Refunds

AstroDeck PRO is sold through the platform store (Google Play on Android, Apple App Store on iOS / iPadOS). All purchase, billing, and refund operations are handled exclusively by the relevant store under their own terms.

Auto-renewable subscriptions (iOS / iPadOS). PRO is available as a monthly or yearly auto-renewable subscription. The applicable terms:

• >Payment is charged to your Apple Account upon confirmation of purchase.
• >The subscription renews automatically for the same period and price unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
• >Your Apple Account is charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period.
• >You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time in your Apple Account settings; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
• >The current price and billing period are shown in the app before you confirm a purchase and may vary by region.

Lifetime unlock. PRO is also available as a single, one-time purchase that does not renew and grants PRO features for as long as the app is supported on that store account.

Subscriptions and purchases are also governed by your store's terms:

• >iOS / iPadOS (Apple App Store): the Apple Media Services Terms (the standard Apple EULA) and the Apple App Store Refund Policy.
• >Android (Google Play): the Google Play Terms of Service and Google Play Refund Policy.

App Comin does not process payments and does not have authority to issue refunds — those requests must be filed with the respective store. The PRO entitlement is non-transferable across stores: PRO purchased on Google Play does not grant PRO on the App Store and vice versa.

6. Intellectual Property

The AstroDeck interface, design, code, and trademarks are the property of App Comin. The Apple Watch glyph, watchOS, iOS, and iPadOS marks are trademarks of Apple Inc.; the Android, Wear OS, and Google Play marks are trademarks of Google LLC. Scientific data displayed on the platform is sourced from public government agencies (NOAA, NASA) and is in the public domain. Map tiles are provided by CARTO and OpenStreetMap contributors under their respective licenses; Apple MapKit imagery is subject to Apple's licensing terms.

7. User Responsibilities

By using AstroDeck you agree that:

• >You will not use the Service for navigation in aircraft, vessels, or any safety-critical context. The data is informational only.
• >You will not attempt to bypass the PRO entitlement system, reverse-engineer the app binary, or modify the in-app purchase flow.
• >You are responsible for keeping your device's operating system and the app itself up to date. Older app versions may not receive the most recent data feeds.
• >When driving, you will obey local traffic laws. The Android Auto / OEM Automotive builds are designed for glanceable use only.

8. Limitation of Liability

AstroDeck is provided "as is" and "as available" without any warranties, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. App Comin shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from the use or inability to use the Service, including but not limited to:

• >Decisions made based on space weather, aurora, satellite, or astronomical data
• >Battery drain caused by background location or push notifications
• >Outages of upstream data sources (NOAA, NASA, CelesTrak, OpenWeatherMap, WeatherKit, N2YO)
• >Issues with the platform stores (Google Play, Apple App Store) including purchase failures, refund handling, or app delivery

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties; in those cases, the limitations above apply to the maximum extent permitted by law.

9. Service Availability

I aim to keep AstroDeck available at all times, but I do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The Service may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance, updates, or factors beyond my control (third-party API outages, push delivery delays at APNs/FCM, etc.). The platform stores may also remove or suspend the app for policy reasons; in that case the website and remaining platforms will continue to function.

10. Termination

You may stop using AstroDeck at any time by uninstalling the app or closing the website. App Comin reserves the right to terminate or suspend access to the Service if a user violates these Terms, abuses the API, or attempts to compromise other users' experience.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Brazil (the country where App Comin is established). Any disputes arising from the use of AstroDeck that cannot be resolved informally will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Brazilian courts, except where consumer protection laws of the user's country mandate otherwise.

12. Changes to Terms

I reserve the right to modify these Terms of Service at any time. Material changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
